Create new template

Users can easily create new templates in the Taxonomy Templates either by clicking the  Add Template  button on the Template Listing page or by cloning an existing template. Please note that only published templates can be updated or used by other users.

How to Create a New Template from Scratch

Follow these steps to create a new template efficiently:

  1. Click on the “Add Template” Button
    Navigate to the Template Listing page and click the Add Template button.
  2. Choose a Template Name
    Enter a suitable name for your template.
  3. Add a Platform
    Click on Add Platform to select the specific platform for which you are creating the taxonomy.
  4. View Campaign Hierarchy
    The campaign hierarchy for the selected platform will appear in the center of your screen.
  5. Access Fields Menu
    On the right-hand side, a Fields side menu will be available to help you select between system and custom fields.
  6. Select Hierarchy Item
    Click on the hierarchy item for which you'd like to create a template (e.g., click on the Campaign field; the box will turn blue to indicate selection).
  7. Populate Your Template
    You have two options:
    • Double-click on the system or custom fields to add them to the template for the selected platform item.
    • Alternatively, you can drag and drop the desired fields onto the selected hierarchy items.
  8. Complete the Campaign Hierarchy
    Fill in the entire campaign hierarchy as needed.
  9. Save the Template
    Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save.
  10. Publish Your Template
    Finally, click on Publish to make your template available for use in creating taxonomies.
